The Hanging Gardens of Babylon includes a 2500 years old love story promoting love in various forms.
The love for our homeland, and the love of a husband for his wife. Given Babylon's dry nature, with little greenery, the wife of King Nebuchadnezzar II felt extremely homesick as she imagined the beautiful nature of her beloved homeland whilst staying in Babylon. To make her feel at home, King Nebuchadnezzar II built her a garden, which famously became known as the Hanging Gardens of Babylon.
Although the set is entirely unique, one main feature that stands out is the ring design. The ring represents an old broken historic wall from Babylon with a rose blossoming through it to convey a subtle message: that no matter how much damage is done, there will always be hope, love, and life again.
Given its attractive colors, the pendant was considerably made to be used as a brooch as well.
